When you submit a bid request or create an account, we collect: full name, email address, phone number, destination port preference, and maximum bid amount. We also collect basic usage data (pages visited, search queries) through server logs to improve the platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information solely to: (a) process your bid requests and communicate with auction houses on your behalf, (b) coordinate shipping and customs clearance, (c) send you shipment status updates via email and WhatsApp, and (d) respond to your inquiries. We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to third parties.
3. WhatsApp Communication
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive WhatsApp messages from Globreach Auto related to your bid requests and shipments. Message frequency varies based on transaction activity. You can opt out at any time by messaging "STOP" to our WhatsApp number.
4. Information Sharing
We share your information only with parties necessary to complete your transaction: auction houses (Copart, IAAI) to register and place bids, freight forwarders and shipping companies to arrange transport, and customs clearing agents at destination ports. All third parties are contractually bound to use your information only for the stated purpose.
5. Data Security
Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes — never in plain text. All API communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. We do not store payment information (bank account or card details) on our platform — payment instructions are communicated separately.
6. Data Retention
We retain bid request records and communication history for 5 years from the transaction date, as required for financial record-keeping and potential customs audit purposes. Account data is retained until you request deletion.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account at any time by contacting info@globreachauto.com. Deletion requests for active transactions (open bids, in-transit shipments) will be processed after the transaction is complete.
8. Cookies
We use essential session cookies to maintain your login state. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No third-party analytics services are currently in use.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the platform after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
